When you lose your job, unemployment benefits can be the difference between paying your rent or not paying it, keeping your house or losing it, and having enough groceries or barely scraping by. But in New Jersey, unemployment claims are becoming increasingly hard to get. That means that once you do get approved for your unemployment claim, which is often a long battle, you don't want to lose it—let alone be forced to give it back. Unfortunately, there are cases where this is exactly what you're expected to do.
