November is National Caregiver’s Appreciation Month. What started as a simple week of appreciation in 1997 has blossomed into a month-long celebration of all that caregivers do to help others. At times, the sacrifice, care, and love that caregivers provide can be grossly underappreciated. When in home health care and assisted living aren’t an option, family members usually step up to the plate to take care of their sick or aging loved one. Unfortunately, this can often put a strain on their own health, finances, and relationships. Nevertheless, caregivers do what they do out of love.
